“Vincenc Strouhal” climatic wind tunnel

“Vincenc Strouhal” climatic wind tunnel (ITAM)  with two sections, with very high research potential in relation to environmental action on historical structures and historical and cultural landscapes. The climatic section is designed to load structures and materials in a synergistic manner (rain and wind, wind and radiant heat, temperature cycles and wind). Rain intensity can be regulated during the loading cycles. The aerodynamic section is designed for experiments in the field of aerodynamics, aerodynamic stability, flow around complex geometrical forms. It is directly related to the modelling of research problems of the structural safety of buildings, bridges, and engineering structures and the safety of citizens in and around these structures.
